CHESS CLUB

At Gympie South, we encourage students to take up chess.

The c

lub has been established since 2000 and we have participated each year in the Interschool Wide Bay Chess Championships. This a great experience for the students, giving them the opportunity to participate in a competition environment. The experience allows the students to gain confidence and remain calm in a pressured but enjoyable and fun environment.

Our Chess club is on for all boys and girls who wish to play or learn to play chess - 2nd break Monday in the library chess area.
