Our school Tuckshop operates Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am to 2pm selling wholesome food and drinks which conform to the Queensland Government's Healthy Choices Strategy. Our current menu can be found by clicking on the below link or by visiting the school Facebook page, don't forget to check out our weekly specials!
Volunteers play a vital role in the Tuckshop and are warmly welcomed. Nourished at South (PDF, 915KB) provides fresh, healthy options for students and staff. It is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at first and second break. The food served is made from scratch, so we require regular, reliable volunteers to assist. What does this entail? You will be helping with checking off orders, preparing food, serving the students and staff and cleaning up. Full training is provided, so come along and join the fun!
While we need volunteers who are willing to commit to a regular roster, once a week, fortnightly or monthly, we still welcome volunteers who are available to give any amount of time. There is always something that needs to be done! You say you can't volunteer because you work? Have you considered being one of our home bakers? We also require home bakers who can bake items for us to sell through the Tuckshop. If you can spare some time to volunteer in our Tuckshop, even for a few hours beginning at 8.30am through to 11.30am or from 11.30am to 2pm, or are able to help with our home baking, please contact our Convenor Carmel. We will also be looking for assistance for events such as Sports Day and Swimming Carnivals.
